Again today, the ducks decided to hurry down to the railway line. Whenever I tell them to remain at home, they ignore me. So, they will only get stale bread for dinner tonight.
Bad little Ducks !

To avoid the accident a bridge will have to be built

Anu, and Bergson,
Thank you for visiting and welcome to Adelaide Daily Photo. I will have to teach them more thoroughly.

Too funny. I don't their going to mind that stale bread.

M.Benaut said...

Yes, Barb, they actually love stale bread. Then they leave duck messages all over the lawn.

Lynn,
Thank you. You are too kind.
Do you know much about direct and indirect object pronouns? Crikey. Why can't the French be more like the English?
I think that's what Professor Higgins said !!

Mary had a E-Type Jag
She kept it in a bucket
Every Sunday afternoon
She would take it out and ...

Chase ducks with it.

A nice photo and ducks will be ducks.

Obviously your ducks and my dogs are related. The dogs often take themselves for a walk on their own as well although no train lines involved. I couldn't get away with giving them stale bread, they insist on it being toasted and spread with vegiemite.

And now you have the answer as to why there is no TGV in Adelaide...it's all due to the ducks problem there. (whew...did that excuse hold 'em off a while?)

Oh Michael, you're too funny! Actually, these may be our ducks but if so, they've strayed quite a long way from home! We're some distance away but then they can fly can't they? They like to drink kitty milk that I leave out for the stray cats too and before they leave, they WALK in the milk!
I buried my Dad today. The funeral service was beautiful but I cried my eyes out when Damien Leith sang Hallelujah. Google Damien Leith and find out for yourself why cried and let me know what you think. I think he has the voice of an angel.

'Pedantic Bob' here... actually they are a MANED GOOSE, Scientific Name: Chenonetta jubata. All us aussies call them just ducks, or Jaba Da Goose :-))
Actually they make a terrible mess on golf coarses etc, that's why Mary keeps her E-Type Jag in a bucket.

Was thinking of you today Mme Benaut... hope not too sad.

Tut tut, geese and not ducks!
They will never obey if you don't call them by their proper name!

PS - have you tried spanking them?

M.Benaut said...

Nathalie,
Il est beaucoup trop difficile de les attraper.
Dans tous les cas, j'utiliserai votre méthode supérieure.

Mme...thank you for sharing the personal side. I know it is hard, and although we have other people so close to us, something goes away when these people leave us. I'm still learning all of this. I'll have to find out who Damien Leith is later when I have more time, but wanted to let you know that I was thinking of both of you as you go through all of this.
