A Sunny Autumn Day in the Adelaide Hills

The sun was shining brightly at 9 am today in Aldgate, and the leaves were arguing with each other, - whether to fall or stay on the trees. You could nearly hear them.
Perhaps they were sick of looking at this Palladian Entablature. I can't think why !

I would love to live in a home like this one for a while -- just to test it out -- I might not like it. But I think it would be nice to explore different rooms. Look at the garden. I can't begin to imagine what it would cost to heat and cool the building. Probably more money than I got.

I like your photograph. It is really just plain, "pretty as a picture."

I have celebrated this day, Mother's Day in my country, with a magazine cover for my wife. I hope you can see it.

Remarkable composition. The shades of yellow, both bright and muted, blend together beautifully. It is a lovely scene!

Beautiful isn't it? This house is one of my favourites - just down the street and around a few bends from our place. Autumn colours are so beautiful in the hills.

Oh yes this house has my name on it. LOL i wish! Stunning. I'd adore it.

I think the leaves were saying: "let's get Monica here as quick as possible, she must see this lovely house"

The light in this picture is super!

I just love the proportions of this house and the light on the leaves.

Like Lynn I think ti should have my name !!! I love it so much and your composition it's really superb (as usual by the way).

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh you found my DREAM HOUSE M-B! ;)

Such a nice gift for Mom's Day! Gorgeous! Now all it needs is a hunky pool boy who can stand next to me on my chaise lounge, fanning me and peeling grapes for me! ;)

Miss y'all!

HUGS!

It's so nice to read your French sentences here! Does your teacher know you have this blog?

M.Benaut said...

Alice,

Hello,

This photo is beautiful. I grew up in the hills and now live in Europe, so I really enjoy your website. But this house I have never liked... this used to be a field with a horse, trees... this place was built by I think some wealthy people from the city -maybe 7 years ago. It is an inconspicuous, vulgar, pink, fake Jane-Austen house... I am sorry, that is just my opinion. I promise you, the field and horses were nicer...

Thanks Old Hills Girl. Sorry you don't like the house and it is right next to the railway line so it would be a bit noisy at night with all of those goods trains. I love fields and horses and trees too but, I have to say, I still like the house.
Thanks for visiting - look forward to more comments from time to time.
