Air Apartments, overlooking Adelaide's Parklands
http://www2.blogger.com/img/gl.photo.gif
The square mile of Adelaide is circled by a wide parkland belt, the vision of it's first Surveyor-General, Colonel William Light, from 1836.
1960's buildings are now being converted into modern apartments and the 10th floor penthouse in "Air Apartments", was sold today for $3,100,000.
When this building was the headquarters of the "Electricity Trust of South Australia", I looked out at It's upper floor views each working day!

WOW! Very cooooooooooooool! Absolutely love those multi-colored divider walls...they're almost as good as art! Happy Monday M-B! =)
Thanks Ame and it was only 99.5 today. You're up early and I'm off for some shut-eye. Bloody time zones, they should be abolished.
PS How could you shave your head in such a cold place as Bhutan. I feel for the boy.
Wish Buzz a happy Tuesday pour moi, Bon Soir M"AAM
LOL! Will do! Nighty night...year, FREEKING time ZONES anyway! ;)
Oooooops, should be YEAH...and OH, one more thang, stay KEWWWWWL! ;)
Hi m.benaut! thanks for the warm welcome. I have to admit that I'm also still learning--especially the technical aspects of blogging (can't seem to get the code for all the other DP links to work...) Adelaide is looking good in your blog--you seem to be having loads of fun and all the comments are hilarious! I also like the colors in the baclonies of this pic. enjoy the rest of your suumer!
ooops...that was supposed to be signed ainz...there goes my anonymity...
Colourful! Must have really fab views.
That's a cool colour scheme, MB.
They're building something very similar (only oval rather than rectangular) overlooking what will be the Olympic site at Stratford (my train passes under it every day).
I imagine the prices will be similar, too!
How are you doing with my novel Mme Benaut? Or are you still at the beach?
Hi Lynn,
Unfortunately haven't had a chance to get back to "Jeans" yet - hard to get near the computer these days! BUT I'll be back there soon. Beach is the garden I'm afraid - our beautiful Oak trees (5 mature trees) are all dropping their acorns and I'm busy with the rake and a bit of water to keep the rest of the garden from dying in the heat. Today is a bit cooler fortunately and so far my only casualty is the Daphne. I've cut it right back and given it some beautiful compost. Fingers crossed!
Ainz,
Welcome to Adelaide and also to DP Blogging. We will look forward to some wonderful shots of your magnificent Zürich, which I last visited in 1999. I took the train there from Como in Italy. Es ist eine sehr malerische Stadt von der Schweiz!
If you email me at benaut@gmail.com I will try to help with your request, mademoiselle.
M. Dive,
Can you photograph it from the train, mmmmm, you go under it? Anyhow the shape should deflect the pigeons!!
M-B! Not you TOO! GERMAN? OMG! Sorry, just get excited with foreign languges! ;) Hope things are AOK there now... xo
Ame,
Η βροχή στην Ισπανία μένει κυρίως στην πεδιάδα.
I hope this helps a little
