Notre Maison de Parlement Adelaïde

Notre Maison de Parlement est structurellement excellente, mais néanmoins, très terne.
Peut-être ce Volkswagen jaune a l'équilibre correct un matin chaud en été.
Adelaide's Parliament House is structurally excellent, but nevertheless, very drab.
Perhaps a yellow Volkswagen has the correct balance on a hot morning in Summer.

Ah what memories a Volkswagen brings back MB, especially in the 60s... I wonder if they had them in in England in Dive's younger days??
Do you remember returning 8 English sailors to their ship at Port Adelaide after hosting them at the local Church of England social... yes 10 of us in a Volkswagen from one side of Adelaide to the other, via the CBD... as you would... in those days.

... and it was not a convertible as in you great photo.

... and Lynn, guess were MB positioned himself...
yes you are correct, behind the back seat with one other.
Have you ever seen how much room there is there in a 1959 Volkswagen... it's a pity that we do not have any photos.

... don't worry MmeB, it was all very innocent fun... just the suspension of the VDub suffered.

Lovely proportions, but as you say, a very drab stone.

As for the VW, we did indeed have those and I spent many happy nights in a particularly noisy and leaky pale blue convertible.

he he Rob, what an image.

M. Benaut what an image this is too! The yellow does indeed lift the somewhat vile building behind it.

I never had a boyfriend with a VW or had one myself. I couldn't possibly comment on its suspension, therefore. :) Now, an MG, a SAAB, a BMW, a MERC i may be able to string a few words together.........;)

Le bleu du ciel et le jaune de la VW fait que ta picture est très belle même si le bâtiment est terne !

Bonjour M et MMe Benaut...best thing about that photo is the colour of the Veedub and the blue sky. Can't for the life of me follow Rob's comments, but that's prolly a good thing.
I know you are desperate for rain in SA, but we are so over it here on the NSW north coast....it has been one long grey, drizzly summer here....could'nt call it summer!

I can't seem to be able to download photos today but will try and imagine the cute little VW.

I had a green mini in my early days!!

You think that's drab...you should see some of the buildings in this town. They look like I designed em.
