It's always possible to have many fine days in June, in Adelaide. This photo shows Kangaroo Island and Frenchman's Rock; in Winter.
In the foreground one can see a whale snoozing in the warm water !

Wow! A lazy, loafing whale - love it! Why doesn't it do something? Disney animatronic ones always do.

Hi Sally,
It was actually blowing stuff at the time but not when Herr Schaussengraben snapped this shot.
I'll find you another one that he took and post it for you.

Great pictures, M. I've never seen a whale. Do you often have them lazing about close to the shore in Oz?

Voilà une baleine heureuse dans l'eau tiède et d'un joli bleu.

Are you sure that's not some over- tanned tourist having a swim???

Jules, I haven't been called an over tanned tourist for ages !

Claude, J'espère que je peux vous montrer beaucoup plus de photos de l'Île Kangourou dans les mois suivants.

Utsav, Some radio stations maintain a "Whale Watch", to alert people when the whales are close to shore.
Often, they come in close to shore - and it is illegal to approach them.
It's a huge crime, that one particular nation is currently slaughtering whales.....

This shot was also (like the previous day), taken to show Michael what the weather can be like in June, the 1st month of our winter. It was a sunny day with clear skies and blue, but cold water. The climate on the Island is usually mild in winter. Perhaps it is South Australia's best-kept secret. Naturally, I will show you more as soon as I can.

"Whale watch"- what a cool concept!
And I agree, it's terrible to be slaughtering them like that.

This is very, very tempting... Especially if your tempting me with whales to see. That is so neat. Can you swim/dive with them?
