Notre Eucalyptus Obliqua est complètement parti

Les Koalas et les Lézards devront trouver une nouvelle maison et les oiseaux Rosellas doivent trouver des fleurs fraîches, pour picoter.

Our Eucalyptus Obliqua has completely gone. The Koalas and the lizards will have to find a new home and the Rosella birds must find fresh flowers, to peck at.

A shame that it had to go, but at least Madame had a bunch of hunky workmen to look at and Monsieur a big yellow digger to ogle.

That's true, Dive. And the front-end loader was a Volvo !

Ah the cycle of nature, but always sad when a big tree goes, especially if it's a koala tree. Good that no-one was injured however.
Mme B, i have replied to your enquiry on my blog....thank you for asking.

Those council guys are so damned efficient, I nearly missed all the action!
Maria - yes, lots of firewood but small stuff because the council takes the trunks away in huge chunks. The smaller branches were mulched in a massive muncher.
CabaC - fortunately for our koalas, there is no shortage of eucalypts that they enjoy in our neighbourhood.
Dive - I think the boys in blue were more my style - well one of them - the council guys leave a bit to be desired besides, they carry huge chainsaws which are bound to frighten a little girl. In any case, I only have eyes for M.B, of course.

Just love the eucalpts but it's so true, they are vulnerable. we had a similar occurence to this in Tasmania except that it felt and smashed a car. Not good news.

fascinating goings on with all the workmen and vehicles.
