Le Petit Déjeuner Australien Typique. Breaking one's Fast, Down Under.

À la rupture de l'aube, les Australiens décident si plonger dans un océan, ou manger quelque chose.
Decisions need to be taken each morning in Australia. Whether to have a good time or go back to sleep. Possibly to get wet, or even not to.
Madame has got the decision-making process organized and this is one nice way to commence the hardships of the day.

The pink hardship for me please. You don't translate "or go back to sleep"="ou retourner se coucher": not a good idea, the weather is too nice!

I am pretty sure one should not have to make such decisions and therefore drink them both! Ahh life is good!

Plonger dans l'ocean, oui! This photo is fab, Mme. The drinks look divine and i demand to know what they are to make me even more jealous.

I'm so sorry you've had a bitch migraine from hell, I do hope after all that drama you can rest and feel better. M. B; have you fed the cats so that Mme can keep her feet up? lol

Thanks Alice and Prudence and you are right - the pink one was mine!
Lynn - M.B's was orange and pineapple with a twist of lime and mine was guava and stawberry - frappe with ice! Mmmm ... delicious and very easy to make with a blender but I confess that I didn't make these - we were served! I love going out for breakfast and I love fresh food - especially french pastries - and chocolate of course (she says while her waistline is expanding).
Am feeling much better thank you and hopefully M.B will take the hint and remember to feed the cats and wild birds while I'm away - a task which he wouldn't dream of doing while I am home.
Gosh it's after 4.00 am here - I'm going to find something to eat (see recipes on Monica's blog) and then catch up on some zzzzz's. The rest of the household is fast asleep. I missed Tuesday (day) but M.B says that doesn't matter because there was a Tuesday last week and there will be another one next week. (Chuckle).

M.Benaut and Mme.Benaut

To good health. Hope you enjoyed the drinks. Strawberry banana, my favourite.

Delicious! I'm sure it was! My favourite meal of the day is le petit déjeuner. I have mentioned that I'm not much of a steak eater or big plates either, I much rather a fresh, healthy, delicious and colorful breakfast.

Hope you're feeling better Mme.Benaut and that by now you have eaten something. 48 hours without eating?! I doubt your waistline is getting any larger! I've seen your picture, you look fabulous girl!!!

Merci pour le recette, mais je ne suis pas une bonne cuisiniere!

Thank you Clo., Lynn, Mon and also Robyn. I'm all better now thanks.
I am feeling much better about our cats being fed while I'm away!
M.B off to the last Tennis in the Park for the year (ends with daylight saving) so you can expect some hilarious comments later on this evening (our time) after a few beers ...

Oooh, makes my tea and toast look very boring!
Now for the question. did you go for a swim before or after breakfast? I assume you didn't go at all. Those who go just GO, no questions asked, first thing in the morning, before anything else. I so admire them!

Oooh, they look delicious! I'll have a pink one please. Love the pineapple squares!

Nathalie,
I would have imagined your breakfast to have been coffee and a croissant or some other exotic French pastry. You would eat it in a little cafe or on your third-floor terrasse at home, overlooking the Left Bank. You would see the sun rising in the sky over Paris. The tourists in the Rue St. Louis en Ile would walk down to the end, to the Notre Dame end of the street and wave at you and take home the fond memories of a typical French family and their typically French petit déjeuner !!!
Combien le Français est-il celui ?

I like your idea of Nathalie's breakfast which matches mine incidentally. Time and family takes over doesn't it Nathalie. What say you, we put aside one morning a week for M et Mme's style of breakfast? I reckon we deserve it! Yum!

Mandi,
When you arrive, you can have both, or any colour your little heart desires. We will of-course, take you for a swim first, or even kayaking. You will think that you are in the Australian sector of Tel-Aviv. The only difference will be the Ozzie accent.

Nathalie,
We probably swam half the night, because we were entertaining friends from Vienna. We were conversing in Half Anglaise half French, Half German and Half Swahili. Even though we try never to do things by halves in Oz, !!!

Lynn,
I suggest 'chaque dimanche matin'.
What sayest thou?

Done. I will seriously do that, though i don't have a blender :( i'll have to buy some smoothies and put together a lovely array of fruit. Except for when my sons visit i suppose when i love to cook a full English breakfast for them and their mates!
