Wilson has arrived, at last, in Adelaide.
Volley ball on the beach at Glenelg - a couple of months ago.
In the northern hemisphere Summer will start soon, but here in Adelaide it's the beginning of our Winter.
Glenelg is about 11 kilometres from the centre of the city and here the sand is fine, clean, and sparkling white, just like all our beaches.
If you saw the film, "Cast Away". with Tom Hanks, then you will recognize Wilson.

Great shot!

When I read your post the name Glenelg sounded familiar - I googled it and it turns out it's this tiny hamlet in Scotland from where I once took the ferry to the Isle of Skye. It took ages to get there but at the time I was a student and the toll on the bridge was too expensive! Here's a picture of the Glenelg ferry in Scotland - not quite beach volley ball country...! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Scotland_Glenelg_Kylerhea_ferry.jpg

p.s. come to EdinburghDP tomorrow for a similarly floating figure!

Dido is right. We don't get much beach volleyball up here in Pomland; walking on the beach near mine requires clothing like a sherpa and gritting your teeth as the northerly gale blows ice into your face.

If you have any of those beach volleyball girls to spare, please send them up here to warm me up.
