Adelaide to Sydney on a most important mission.

Qantas, an acronym for "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services", is Australia's national airline, the world's second oldest continuously running independent airline and the 11th largest in the world. It was founded in Winton, Queensland in November 1920 and their first aircraft was purchased for £1425.
Today, Qantas flies me to Sydney to see William, who is now 6 months old and a bit of a Qantas frequent flyer himself. Two days before William's birth, the Air Hostess on this flight assured me that my daughter was definitely having a baby girl.
Qantas' safety record may be the best in the world, but their sex predictions are, well, inaccurate. William, who thinks it's a hoot, says "I fooled you, Grandpa!"

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...I LOVE acronyms...you no doubt know what SCUBA means...and let's see...ummmm...how 'bout KISS...know that one?

And PSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH! I don't put any trust in sex predictions anymore...if I did, two of my boys wouldn't have peni! LOL!

You can dress me up but you can't take me ANYWHERE! LOL!

Great shot...I assume you took it at the airport?

The world is full of people who want to predict the sex of your unborn baby. Who cares actually? When asked, when i was pregnant what i was hoping for, i replied, "a baby."

I enjoyed your narrative about the airline. The photo captures much of the airport activity. When I see a shot like this, it makes me what to leave for the airport and points unknown!

Ame,
Acronyms for the day. POOP; we saw some of it in London. Do you give up? Pipe Organ Owners and Players, or Permanently Out Of Print. KISS that,,JJ.
Monica,
You bet. But he lives in Sydney and that's Nathalie's and Sally's territory so I have to get their permission to post a Sydney shot.
Lynn,
I agree, but it was a very exciting time wondering, just before he was born.
Kate,
Flying out is always stimulating and full of expectations, but returning can sometimes be the opposite. Espero que México sea agradable.
Louz,
Lovely to meet you, and thanks for calling in to Adelaide. Your butterfly shots are superb.
Utsav,
You looked so handsome in the purple shirt !!
I promise to show you William, lots. Just need to get him to Adelaide but I COULD pretend he was here couldn't I?

nice shot! I love watching activity on the runways & tarmacs of airports. I was also just at the Zurich airport this weekend to pick up a friend who was arriving in town. would have been a perfect opportunity to take some cool pictures, but unfortunately I forgot my camera...

I also really liked Lynn's response her wish for 'just a baby'

Enjoy your time with you granson!
