I think that is not the side the most beautiful of Paris but La défense is Paris too !

It was our first day, and as we were staying in the seizième, we saw this side of the city first.

I agree with you about the beauty of this endroit, but it really is quite spectacular from an architectural perspective.

Perhaps Virginia will visit La Défense and we will hear her account of it ?

Re red and white, you know before meeting you I kind of saw you as this guy who kept throwing heavy drinking barbecue parties in his garden with his mates and I was a bit wary of that... I was amazed to discover quite a different man when we met.

Well anyone would know that there would be two gorgeous women to take care of, pompiers to supervise, and a French sunset to monitor from a roof-top balcon.
What else does a bloke need ?

I am no architect but I was thinking while looking at the pictures, that YOU must be in heaven looking at all of these amazing buildings. I had no idea Paris looked this way! Great shots!!

And what work to blog so completely in two languages! :)

I was Shan, for sure.

But then anything in Paris is close to heaven, if you are obsessed with it.
That goes for the whole of France too.
Yep, I was in heaven, you could say !

As far as the language goes, you need to be there for longer than I was to become fluent and the time was not long enough.
The buggers speak too fast, just as we do at home !!!!

Writing is not so bad, but my French would look like school-kid stuff at this stage, but I'm sticking to it.

Great shots yet again! Mme that's quite an exciting spot you bagged, next to the man in uniform.

Lynn, the National Guard / riot police keep a very high profile in Paris. Everywhere you go; they're there.
