Don't you just love the street names in France ?

Tomorrow, Monday down here, I have a little surprise for you.
You will have seen it on Claude's blog, a few weeks ago but now it's my turn to describe our wonderful Saturday morning with Natacha and Guy at the Frères Duffour.

I am sorry that the photos, above, were very small. However I have republished them at a much greater size. You can now see the River Loir much more clearly.

And, - there'll be more, plus something unexpected for Lynn.

Gosh, this looks so much like my old home town; especially from the river.
Lovely!

Absolutely lovely photos.

This is a lovely village. The peaceful river is gorgeous. What I need is a map of France. I need to be able to track your adventures better. I have no clue where this is but I will find out!

Merci tellement, Claude.

Virginia, et tout le monde,

Château-du-Loir is about 200 kilometres, 125 miles south west of Paris.

It's on the Loir River; not to be confused with the Loire River, into which it flows near Angers. It is just south of Le Mans.

When you search for it on Wikipedia you must include the hyphens. Then click on the French language section in the LHS side bar.

It is in Département 72, called Sarthe. You will find that car number plates, there, will finish in 72, just like anywhere else; eg Paris is 75 etc...

As me a question and I will respond.

Here is the link to click on. You can go to the side bar, (Autres Langues), to click on English if you want.

Some lovely photos here of a beautiful part of France. I spent part of a honeymoon near here - nice memories.
