DAY 3 IN PARIS : l'excitation

With the evening sunset impatiently on hold and le Boulevard Montmartre and le Carrefour Richelieu-Drouot, teasing us to explore, we were quickly on the telephone to announce our arrival.

Eric invited us to welcoming drinks and Michael soon came to fetch us. What a thrill after all these months to be meeting at last.

A quick sortie onto the Boulevard, while Madame powdered something or other, was time enough to hear and smell the atmosphere to pretend that all this was true.
It couldn't be ? It's just a dream ?

Michael arrived and directed us. We laughed and nibbled and drank and talked and joked and just felt so relaxed.
Dinner at a nearby restaurant was proposed.
We were now, really in Paris and on such a high, we wouldn't have argued with a soul.

I do wish I had been able to come to Paris with you, as you left me - wouldn't we have had fun, all together. I have fond memories of your visit to me, you're such fun. Remember how we kicked off our shoes in your hotel room, settled down on the bed, Mme and I, and giggled whilst Monsieur valiantly showed us your photos on the screen? Giggling girlies, weren't we? My. Had we been all there in France, maybe Eric would have also kicked off his shoes... who knows? LOOOOLLLL !!! I know. I'm cheeky.

Fancy calling this post "l'excitation" - from what I read so far, you were on a high from day one and you still hadn't touched earth when you got to Avignon so l'excitation could have been the global title for the whole trip LOL!!!

Great photos of the rooftops and café parisien - lovely to see Eric looking so happy too!!!

See all those beautiful macarons? Can you believe that I didn't have even one?

Nathalie: Hee hee. You're absolutely right of course but then meeting all of our beautiful bloggers, it was impossible to keep one's feet on the ground. Gosh you are all such incredibly fascinating people.

Lynn: Eric is a stunner isn't he? And photos of darling Michael will be aplenty on Mme Benaut Occasional Blog, once I get to Paris ... I'm trailing behind a little because I get a bit distracted along the way. LOL

It's good that you are trailing, Mme as then the whole thing will last longer for us!
