Back in the Wide, Brown Land

Voici; - vous voyez le jeune capitaine piloter notre bateau vers le port à Cap Jervis......
.....et ci-dessous vous voyez les voitures et les camions roulent du bateau.

Here is the young captain bringing our boat into the port at Cape Jervis.....
....and here you see the cars and trucks rolling off the boat.
We are now standing on the land, wide and brown, again

Nous pouvons sentir la Terre, Large et Brun, sous nos pieds enfin.

What a cool shot of the 4X4s coming off the ferry, MB.
It looks like an invasion force of school run mothers. Yikes!

While my wife gets seasick crossing a lake in a boat like this. THankfully she never stayed in the car but was on deck. I like your photos of this trip. Very nice of the cars coming off.

I just began a new site about Japan in the early 1950s when we were there. You can get to it from my Brookville daily photo blog. Times have changed a lot there too over the 50-plus years since we were there.

That's pretty true, when you think about it Dive. That's probably exactly what it was.
Sorry I haven't been to SGP lately, just a small case of bloggeur burnout ??

Monsieur le Président,

You should never have told her about the petrol drums full of vomit, mate. That's enough to put any little girl off, sailing the 7 seas.

Japan,,,,, ahh. A totally different group of memories, - after all you went through.
However, I shall go exploring your new site and see how your accurate historical mind has informed the current (and younger) generation.

I hope that your wrists are holding out with all the clicking and typing. I know how painful Carpal T.S. can be and I admire you for all your efforts and the contribution you make to everyone.
