"A bloke could keel over if he missed brekkie..."

When eating breakfast with friends who live in Vienna, it's necessary to eat a balanced diet.
We must have some beetroot, lettuce, tomato and plenty of vitamin D.
The latter, is found in the light of the sun which is most necessary for good health.
From time to time, a small Bintang is also necessary, if only to destroy all the vitamins.
The sauerkraut can be eaten later, when the wind blows more strongly. Viva the Viennese !

Naturellement, c'était Madame qui a pris cette photo, parce qu'elle ne mange pas le petit déjeuner.

I like your picture a lot and also your theme day narrative. It is also funny. Then I noticed theme day and your August 1 date. I had to look at my calendar and it is still July 31st here. That is even funnier.

Monsieur le Président,
The United States is behind the International Dateline. About half a week behind Australia, approximately, I think !!!

Beer with breakfast - really? lol

I do enjoy breakfast actually. Normally it's a hastily grabbed bowl of cereal sometimes even a cup of tea and a biscuit but the whole thing, when you have time; the Full English Breakfast; now there's a treat.
Orange juice, cereal, then eggs, bacon, sausage, fried bread (i steer clear of that one) tomatoes. Tea with a little sugar. Then toast and a selection of jams. Then coffee. Parfait!

I loe the English breakfast but as I am alone at home I don't take the time to "spoil myself". I eat a banana for the magnesium, two "biscottes" and some yogurt. I don't drink strong coffee any longer. I drink chicory (?) in the morning.
Have a nice day, Madame et Monsieur Benaut.

Marie et Lynn,
In order to ensure that, ..... if too many vitamins are consumed, one should maintain balance with a little beer. It assists with attempts to "sprechen Sie die deutsche Sprache". When in difficulty another small beer can help; et également une banane peut aider.
M. Dive,
You are obviously a most discerning chap; ça va sans dire.

Looks like an authentic Aussi breakfast to me- I have consumed a few of those in my time ............ the beer that is, not the healthy breakfast !!!

On our holiday few days ago, my husband (french) was surprised when he saw dutch men order beer for breakfast. He said "They are crazy, we french will never do that".
Tomorrow I'll tell him that he is wrong, french living in Australia have beer for breakfast !.

BTW, Bintang IMHO is Indonesian beer, right ?

A beer at breakfast! Sounds healthier (and safer!) than the Full English Breakfast. The heart would be much happier ... as well as the spirit! Liquids ... lots of liquids ...

I think the phrase is something like "it is after the noon hour somewhere in the world", so lets have a drink ... Very funny interpretation of the theme.

Oh this is hilarious! M.B is such a tricker! Bundawah got it right - Bintang is Indonesian beer and this photo was taken in Bali about 3 years ago with unsere freunde Christian und Sonja - in the afternoon as I recall although I have to say that many, many Bintangs were taken that week. I don't think I've ever seen M.B have beer for breakfast! His usual fare is: 2 cups of tea, porridge and weetbix (together), toast with vegemite and plum jam (not together) and then coffee with milk and sugar. This NEVER varies. Club Sandwiches and Beer, well that can start anytime from noon onwards. I guess I've blown his cover but better that than to have you all think that he is alcoholic. Je suis desolee mon mari!
