Blogging the night away. (Nous ne dormons jamais)

When one lives in the Land Down Under, the rest of the world is out kicking up their heels in the sunshine (and floods), while in Oz, we should be sleeping?
Wrong! Bloggers down under are bashing away at keyboards and Pussy Cats are sleeping. Sascha enjoys Eric's blog, especially when he features rats, but the rest of the time, sleeping is delegated to her. Tomorrow, I shall teach Sascha how to Blog. We'll have a role reversal. No doubt Madame will have something to say about this. I guess you'll find out.

My cat Ben likes to sleep in exactly the same place!!! He would be up there with Sascha in a flash!!!

You are right about the time zones it makes it very difficult.
I just blog in the mornings and evenings when the phonelines are somewhat better. I am downloading at the moment with 30 kbps/sec and often it freezes. So frustrating.... and it means only blogs with small photos are often accessible.

It takes me hours to visit everyone.

I woke up this morning with a feeling of despair
I looked for my pussy but my pussy wasn't there
Well, well, well
My cat fell in the well
Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well

I got out a ladder and I climbed down to my pet
I saw in a jiffy that my puss was soakin' wet
Well, well, well
My cat fell in the well
Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well

The doggone hole by the pump
Once she pushed, and in she jumped
There never was a kitty half as pretty
as the pussy that fell in the well

There never was a pussy that could quite compare with her
Pretty as a picture with her long and silky fur -
Well, well, well, well my cat fell in the well, well
Oh oh oh pussy pussy pussy poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well

If you have a pussy that you wouldn't trade or sell
Never let her wander or she might fall in a well
Well, well, well
My cat fell in the well
Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well
Fell in the - well!

Oh yeah, the credits:

Author/Artist/Singer: Manhattan Transfer
Music Title/Track: My Cat Fell In The Well (Well! Well! Well!)

I used to really enjoy Manhattan Transfer. Don't recall this one.

Ah, my baby, Sascha. This is where we were while M.B was typing the night away!
Inspired by Flagstaff Daily Photo and their cat, Imara. Go check out their Grand Canyon in Arizona, it's worth the look.

Sascha is absolutely beautiful. Years ago I had a Himalayan named Winston Churchill, and he had similar colorings, although maybe a little darker. Lovely cat.

That's some poem Michael.

Thanks for coming over Robyn, Lynn, Jules - she is such a sweet natured little girl. There are a few more shots of her under the label Felix und Freund. Sascha and Felix are indeed very good friends!

Actually Madame, it's a great song. If you can find it on the web somewhere, you should listen to it. You'll be singing it all the time.

Michael,
I am getting closer on your advice. This is the best I have come up with so far.

The Cat Fell in the Well, by Merry Macs. I'm sure Manhattan Transfer would be 1000 x better.

It's ONLY been 100 days !

Suppose it was dry now so they weren't afraid to touch it.

Cheltenhamdailyphoto said...

Yes very interesting. Where it will end, let's see....

Thanks for the translation M. Benaut, wasn't looking forward to doing that later this evening - still working!

Kisses--something I've found most dogs love, but most cats do not. She looks so incredibly soft, though. I'd have a hard time not burying my face in her fur and giving her kisses.

Anonymous said...

Michael - will have a listen to it after daybreak! Again, thank you.
Terroni - Sascha thrives on kisses and affection much more so than the other cats. She does get many kisses with my face buried in her fur and warm breath too, just to keep her warm. Her fur is soft and silky so she is allowed to sleep with us as she feels the cold much more than the other cats do. Mind you, given the chance, all of them would sleep on the bed! There are often 2 - Kittypuss at my feet on top of the bed and Sascha behind my knees, under the quilt or wrapped around my head on the pillow. M.B is a very tolerant chap but then he adores her too.

Lynn - have read M.B's translation on Cheltenham and my stomach turned over.

Quite, Mme, quite. I've thought it for a long time and have been researching it but well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Looks like she has settled in for the winter! Hope you're not relegated to the shed!

If you have time, it's Ham's Birthday and we shouldn't forget to wish one of the original daily photo blogger's a "happy birthday". He started London Daily Photo just after Eric began blogging. The rest is history!

This should be interesting! Sasha looks like she has lots on her mind to blog about!
