Château-du-Loir et ses environs : 2

And so it came time to say a sad goodbye, adieu, farewell and à bientôt.

Thank you Claude and Philippe, we had a ripping time in your lovely town.

We had learned a third language, "Globish" and there were one or two empty bottles to prove it, - and a million memories.

It's always so terrible to say goodbye but we WILL return. There's so much more to learn, - and English phone boxes to get to the bottom of !!

Tomorrow we have an Australian "moment" in France.
Crikey, that strange language. How will one cope ?

The third photo is a door of the old prison of the castle that was destroyed during the war against the English people in the middle age.
The fourth one is a phone boxe given by the town of Westbury twinned with Chateau du Loir.

Lovely photos. Hang on, I thought, could that be England, in the last photo? No, no, don't be silly, I told myself; that chap's trousers are far too tight! It MUST be France. lol. Glad that car didn't reverse. Eek.

I love the peculiarly Gallic way the traffic totally ignores the pedestrian crossing.
