Fishing Dog Bay
Some time ago, Eric, in Paris showed us "La rue du Chat-qui-Pêche", or the Fishing Cat Street. However, we have, in Adelaide, La Baie du Chien qui Pêche, or Fishing Dog Bay.
It is really American River on Kangaroo Island and the Giant Schnauzer is one that you have seen before, on January 22 with Signor Lanciatore. We were very lucky to have been taught how to fillet the fish that he caught, by Nathalie from Avignon. Without the help of Nathalie, we would have all starved to death!!

Is that the real name of the bay? Really? Funny!

M.Benaut I know you don't need any tips about Paris, but if you ever want to know something about my trip last year let me know. Million things to do and see there huh?!

It will be great to see the photos of your meeting with Eric. You will meet him right?! And propably Michael too.

Love the story - the boat, the man, the dog - and wonderful to know you didn't starve thanks to Nathalie.

Neva,
Merci, there will be many more in times to come.

Monica, can you please email me. It would be excellent to discuss Paris, et les enfants terribles!

Jilly,
One must always defer to the French, when it comes to the subject of food, love and life !!

I am looking forward to meeting the boys in Paris and am as excited about it as you were. There WILL be lots of photos. It will be marvellous to compare notes.

I used to fish with my Da and learned to clean a fish when I was five. I could still probably do it, but maybe not willingly.

A fisherperson, a boat and a dog...always a comforting sight....something tender, comforting, affectionate about it.

Is that one of those cormorant dogs ??
You know the ones - you toss them into the water with their collars too tight and they catch fish without swallowing them?? Amazing - I have read about them in National Geo but never seen one!!!!

Err, dogs go there to fish?

Very good ! m.Benaut.

M.Benaut said...

Utsav,
We also have boxing kangaroos and birds that can imitate any sound. Fishing dogs are a dime a dozen !!!
