Il est 19h30 et les garçons vilains sont revenus à la maison de la bouche du fleuve.
Pour le dîner, dans le jardin, nous mangerons le rôti de boeuf.
Quelquefois nous oublions que nous ne sommes plus britanniques!
Le soleil n'est pas encore descendu, mais l'éclat de l'appareil-photo donne l'impression d'obscurité.
The Boat Doctor carves the roast beef.
It's 7:30 PM and the boys have returned home from the river mouth. For dinner, we're having roast beef, in the garden. (Sometimes we forget that we are no longer British !)
It's not yet sunset, but the camera flash gives the impression of darkness.

Est-ce que c'est un dragon?

Est-ce que c'est un dragon? Non, c'est un gum tree, (arbre de Eucalyptus).
Sur la route vers Goolwa, je suis resté avec mes amis, Heather et John, et ai marché autour de leur propriété des centaines de hectares. Nous avons vu des kangourous et des oiseaux, mais surtout j'aime cet vieil eucalyptus étonnant.

On the way to Goolwa, I stayed with my friends, Heather and John, and walked around their property of many hundreds of hectares. We saw kangaroos and birds, but most of all I love this amazing old gum tree.

Nous vivons dans l'état le plus sec du continent le plus sec

La sécheresse australienne a fait pour abaisser le niveau d'eau dans le Murray inférieur, par environ 1.8 mètres.
On a besoin d'une échelle pour céder au bateau, mais les pélicans sont inquiétés, seulement de leurs estomacs, et le pont vers l'Île Hindmarsh, sera bientôt non nécessaire.
We live in the driest state of the driest continent.
The Australian drought has caused the water level in the lower Murray, to fall by about 1.8 metres.
One needs a ladder to climb down to the boat, but the pelicans, however, are only worried about their stomachs and the bridge to Hindmarsh Island, will soon be not needed.

Tranquilité à la bouche du fleuve Murray

La bouche du fleuve est près du site, où capitaine français Nicolas Baudin et capitaine anglais, Matthew Flinders se sont rencontrés, par hasard, en 1802, lorsque ce leurs deux pays étaient à la guerre. La baie s'appelle évidemment, 'Encounter Bay'.

The river mouth is close to the site, where French Captain Nicolas Baudin and English Captain, Matthew Flinders encountered each other, by chance, in 1802, at the time that their two countries were at war.
The Bay is obviously called, EncounterBay.

Australia Day sur la plage

C'est maintenant 1900h, lundi soirée, 28 Janvier, et le voyageur las est retourné. Tandis que j'ai été parti, tout le monde avait pris soin de Mme, et il y a beaucoup de commentaires merveilleux. Merci. Je visiterai tous vos blogs dès que je pourrai.
L'Australia Day est célébré tous les ans, 26 janvier, et mes amis et moi célébrons chez Goolwa, à la bouche du fleuve Murray, où il coule dehors dans Encounter Bay.
En jours à venir je vous montrerai une petite partie de la planète que j'aime beaucoup.
Australia Day at the beach
It's 7 O'clock, Monday evening, and the weary traveller has returned. While I have been away everybody has been taking care of Mme, and there are many wonderful comments. Thank you. I will visit all your blogs as soon as I can.
Australia Day is celebrated each year on the 26 January, and my friends and I celebrate at Goolwa, at the mouth of the river Murray, where it flows out into Encounter Bay. In the coming days you'll see more of this spot I love.
