Today, Dive requested a pretty photo, because Rupert Murdoch was making him cranky. Naturally, and because everybody loves Dive, I would like to present, Madame and her gerberas with a pressure lantern. The pressure lantern enables us to see on Wednesday night after tennis in the park. What we see is BBQ tea and a small glass of red (or seven). Sometimes we don't even notice that is so dark.

Ah! Now THAT's better, Monsieur B.
Beautiful Mme. B with beautiful flowers.
Tennis in the park in the dark? Any excuse is good enough when you have good red wine to drink.
Cheers!

Aw Dive, I'm blushing. Thank you. And a very Happy 49th Birthday for the 13th. Hope you enjoyed yourself and were spoilt rotten.

PS Tennis was played before dinner, when it was still light ... not that all of us could see the ball of course and some others of us who could see it, couldn't hit it anyway!

Du vin australien ?

M.Benaut said...

What a lovely photo of Mme Benaut. Your beautiful wife often visits my blog and if you don't mind I would like to add you to my blog roll. I also live in Adelaide, in Lewiston to be exact, so it is nice to meet fellow Adelaideans in the blogging world.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. Each year, on my birthday, M.Benaut gives me a bunch of flowers. This year, on my birthday, he didn't (I did get a present though) and though I didn't say anything, secretly I was a smidge disappointed. Little did I know that he had decided to wait for a few days and surprise me at Tennis, where some of our friends also surprised me with hot apple pie & cream (in lieu of cake) and a rendition of Happy Birthday. I was so relieved to get the flowers and so thrilled by the pie that I grinned like an idiot all night. M.B has a philosophy that birthdays last a week - this is just one example of his surprises. He'd hate to admit it but he's really just a softie at heart.

Mme Benaut, you are a very pretty lady!

I was wondering who Dive was.....

M.Benaut said...

We have been keeping him well-hidden, Marie.
A most eligible bachelor with quietly discriminating tastes, widely educated and even a little witty.
He adores the Royal Family and pretends that he doesn't. He has a friend in the north of England who expresses himself in a slightly colourful way. This is helping to bring him out of his shell, a little.

One glass or seven? Tennis at the benauts must be quite something. Why bother with tennis if no one can see the ball or hit it anyway? Because Aussies love to use sports as a reason for binge drinking. Awe.

Happy birthday Mrs benaut!
