A Dear and Wonderful Mother, Valda.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I'm so sorry to read of your loss. Isn't it wonderful that you can share your love and respect for your mother with a whole lot of people you've never met? We're all thinking of you, and wishing that your sadness is mixed in with joy, as you remember all the happy times you spent together.

M. Dive,
You, Sir are a Rock. Thanks cobber and I certainly do value your friendship highly.

Kerry-Anne,
Thank you for saying that.
It's weird, isn't it. It's a tease. You would love to think that at the Annual General Meeting you would all be sitting together in the same place.

I was here yesterday, but didn't know whether the tribute was for your mom, or was related to the fire in the post from the day before. Please accept my condolences. {{hugs}} from Switzerland.

Your friends in Minneapolis extend deepest sympathies and offer our prayers to you and your family in this time of loss.
Our minister said something in his sermon last week that I'll probably not soon forget...
Death is a comma, not a period.
Peace be with you.

This got me through me a couple of troublesome times. I hope you might also find some comfort in its words.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle Autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush.
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there;
I did not die.

Z,
Your condolences and hugs were lovely.
Now that I have discovered Villigen, which is in one of the most picturesque parts of Switzerland that one could imagine, I shall have to start exploring. It is also close to Basel, where my son lives. Perhaps we can go to villigen in September?
