As it's the shortest day of the year, you can't expect to see the light of day in this photo. The Boat Doctor, his girlfriend, Madame and I, went to Hahndorf. It was a funny evening. The restaurant was full. There were Japs, Bikies and Africans, even some people from Montreal.
At half time, the girls rushed outside, to count Gogomobiles! cruising down the street. (an Aussie expression for smoking).
Me, I yarned to my friend Pietro, the taxi driver. Every 2 or 3 months, we see each other and engage in the same conversation. Did you know, that here, a taxi driver makes only $8 per hour, Crikey!
The boat doctor has decided to attend the auction, to buy the barn that you saw yesterday, so we have been designing the renovations. We drank some of their Pinot Gris and slowly drove home.
That was my Saturday night.

.....and a great night was had by all!!!

Last night we had dinner with friends at the base of the volcano. BBQ with the works (table, chairs, cloth, wine glasses etc and the greatest fireworks show in the world - the erupting volcano). Then the moon came up behind the mountain with the moonlight reflecting on the water. And guess who didn't bring the camera!!!!! I kicked him all the way home!!!!!

There is nothing better than ending an evening with a great Pinot Gris.

Sounded like a great evening. Love the photo. My night shots aren't working yet...you'll have to show me, seeing as we have the same camera.

I spent Saturday night fighting off a three foot tall terror armed with a wooden mallet.
