Michael has been suffering from lack of Adelaide weather, - in Paris, Switzerland and strange Asian destinations.
When he finally sees the "light" and belts down-under, he may never be the same again?
And we may even sign him up for an Automotrice à Grande Vitesse? Better, here in Adelaide than in the Czech Republic!

Glenelg actually looks like another country in that pic. Geez it has really changed in the last 10 years. It's got a bit too cosmopolitan for my tastes but I guess a lot of people like the changes.

That looks just gorgeous! How peaceful to walk through that square.

What a beautifully kept, clean and tidy square, Monsieur.
And a really quaint town hall.
Enchanting.

Beautiful place, M, I love the trees especially. All lined up so neatly.
And Glenelg is Adelaide?

Brr i'm just watching a prog about snakes in Aus. Western Browns and Common Browns? Do you see many, M. Benaut? I know, i'm curious at the moment! Yesterday sharks, today snakes!

Great shot M B - this doesn't look like Adelaide!!! Looks quite tropical.

Michael should be tempted by this.

Thanks for all your nice comments, everyone.
Michael had asked me what the weather was like in Adelaide in June.
This photo was taken last June at Glenelg and shows you all what nice days we can put on.
Claude, c'est le ancien hôel de ville, pas une église.
Lynn, you're right. He must be away somewhere.
Jules, and to think it was taken in Winter !
Terroni, Dive and Gypsy, perhaps the previous rain the night before had made the place look tidy !
Utsav, Glenelg is a seaside suburb about 10 k. from the city centre. Adelaide's one and only tram line services this popular destination. You can see the terminus of the tram line on the left.

Lynn,
In reference to snakes in South Oz; we never see them, but the TV documentaries love to scare the tourists away. I once saw one when I was a kid. It was on our back lawn after the hose had been left running for hours. In those days, we had the hills at our back doorstep and chickens and farm animals. But never since. They need water, so if you are hiking in Summer near a creek, you have a better chance to see one. We sort of just don't do that too much; and so it goes. Sharks are rare too. Someone gets taken by a shark every few years; - about the same chance as getting hit by a bus or winning the lottery !

I have indeed been duped then, M. Benaut. I had visions of you opening your door each morning and hooking them all out of your way as you made it to your car. lol! Emptying your boots out, oh yes it was all in my mind. Good job, tv docs!

Wow, how did I miss all of this chatter especially dedicated blog post. I bow in your honour. I am packing again for another trip, this time to cold Connecticut, USA so this looks quite nice just the same.

I'm wondering if Juin in Adelaide is like January in S. Florida. A nice chilly brisk breeze in the morning, but warm by the afternoon.
