Une semaine de joie et de bonheur

This week has been one of great joy and fun.
My pleasure in visiting Paris has been rekindled with Eric's visit to Adelaide.
At the mouth of the River Murray, in Encounter Bay, 207 years ago, a Frenchman and an Englishman met. They were exploring and mapping the shores of "Terra Australis".
Today we reflected on that meeting and the fact that we were very nearly a French colony here in Australia.
In the photo, that chance meeting occurred just behind Eric's left shoulder and about 4 kilometres out to sea.

What a beautiful message M.Benaut.
That's what I find the most amazing about PDP, it brings people together.

If only the rest of the world could learn with PDP...

I'd love to know more about your suggestions to le Petit Nicolas... provided it's the one by Sempé & Goscinny, not one living in the Elysée... ;-)

So does the frog swim?

Michael, it is a little secret, but did you know that French frogs do not swim.
They hold their breath under water.
International travel can be so rewarding, n'est-ce pas !

Hello Thibaut, Eric suggests that I come and tell M. Sarkozy myself.
He thinks that only an Australian could say such things and live !

Monica, thanks for those nice words.
And we know a little about this coming together - and the fact that Eric gave us all this rare opportunity.
Amanhã você verá aqui - uma estátua brasileira.

Jacob, thank you and welcome to Adelaide. You will enjoy hearing that I was speaking to another from your state today. I will pass on your blog address.

M. Benaut -- very well said—and I'm sure you'll be missing your special "grenouille" very much!

Michael -- LOL

Thib -- Sempé et Goscinny? Les génies, tout les deux! (Et Sarkozy?—j'en sait pas.)
