Adelaide's river is called the Torrens.
It is only a small river, but we have a weir that holds the water back.
In December, we'll sit on the lawns on a hot night and listen to the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra playing Christmas Carols.

The funny thing is, Marie, that one of our favourite Christmas Carols is;
'Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh'.
This is a city that has never seen snow, ever !!
What a lovely park, Monsieur B.
That's a spiffy building in the distance. What is it?
Bonjour, Dive,
This is the Adelaide Convention Centre.

There is so many interesting objects in this photo, and you composed it very well. The scrolls on the railing are simply lovely.
That is a great pic of the Torrens and I also love the scrolls on the railing. Very nice Monsieur B.
what a lovely shot, i love the pattern and the colours, so vibrant!
Marie,
Kate,
This is the ancient bandstand in Elder Park, it's about 150 years old. In the distance, is the new Adelaide Convention Centre.
There's a web address in a comment above, (to Dive).
Gypsy,
Thank you for your nice comments today and in the last few days.
The Stirling market is held once a month and the next one is just before Christmas; possibly the 16th Dec.
Jazzy,
You have some snow at the moment, but we don't ever see it here. It must be pretty cold in Tuzla. I am sure you'll have a white Christmas. Thank you for visiting us.
Whoa, what great colours - the green of the grass and the green scrolls on the railings - and the blue of the water, sky and dark blue on the railings, not to mention the greeny/blue building - such a nice photo. I agree with Kate, beautiful composition.
Is that a houseboat on the water?
That sounds so strange, "In December, we will sit on the lawns on a hot night"... funny to us Northerners. Beautiful landscape too.
Tu avais souhaité me voir me baigner en vacances, cherche sur mon blog demain. Noël en été ! Quel rêve !
Looks so peaceful and the carols must be wonderful.
What a beautiful park! I really like how the black iron cathes the eye.
I wish I lived somewhere where I could listen to the symphony in December outside. It is way too cold here.
