Sunday night in Aldgate Village.
These days there are no crowds of people, coming home from church on a Sunday night. The streets are deserted and the occasional bus is empty.
Just me and my camera.

Okay, Monsieur fabulous-photographer - Benaut - as we have the same appareil-photo. Please tell me on what setting you took this super photo - did you use a tripod? How long. etc etc

And what is a magic Italian handshake?

Bonsoir Ian.

It was funny, Jilly.

I had to read my notes, - that I sent you, just to gain confidence !!

I parked the car 1/2 on the road and placed the 'same appareil-photo' on the car roof. You can see a réflexion from the roof of the dark blue car.
I simply set the top knob to Night Scene mode, and presto. The camera waits for any vibrations to finish and then it opens the shutter. In this case the shutter was open for about 22 seconds and one can see in the rear viewfinder the countdown to zero. I took about 10 or so shots. Some had the traces of the lights from passing traffic.

You only need a firm base, whether it be a tripod or a table / car roof etc. If you use a tripod, the camera will wait for any vibrations to stop before it takes the shot. Therefore, one can not hand-hold the camera owing to the long exposure time.

Let's see what you can come up with ?

The magic I-S-H is something they do in Napoli. The "assistant" then gets your wallet out of your back pocket and they wish you Buona Sera.

I'll tell you of my Italian experiences très bientôt.

Bonjour M.Benaut,

Nathalie says you should all rip across to Avignon and see some pretty little French girls.
