Some reminiscenses for dear Nathalie
When one departs a country where one has fond memories, it can sometimes be a nice gesture to send a postcard from the former country.
At lunchtime today I rushed across to Rushcutters Bay Park, very close to the former home of Nathalie, where I took this photo.
If you walk steeply down Evans Road, from Roslyn Gardens, Elizabeth Bay, you come to this wonderful park beside the yacht club. There are many tame birds to feed on the wonderful green grass.

M Benaut, I bet you were a naughty boy when you were young ;-)
How long will it take me to get there to help you feed the tame birds??
Good grief! I had to click on the picture to establish whether that young girl was really dressed like that! She was! In a public place? Tame? I think not. I am at once shocked and full of envy at her perfect figure lol! Great pic Mr. Naughty Benaut. What on earth did Madame say?
She'll catch her death! My grandmother would have said. Probably my mother too. I might even say it myself.
Strewth!
Would you please be so kind as to box one of those up and send it to me, Monsieur B?
It's NOT the birds my eyes were on. Let's see more of this you have an eye for it. ;)
So, um...did you feed the bird, I mean, birds?
Trust you Eagle Eyes!!!
What exactly is that breed of bird and what is their mating call????
This young lass mistakenly believes that she needs a suntan and that advertising brings the best buyers. And yes, Lynn she is indeed at risk of catching her death! Maria, if he had fed this bird, he would have been in deep, very hot, near boiling, water.
I was upset when I saw this photo amongst the lovely photos of William's entry into the world just over a year ago but this incorrigibility of M.B's is one of the reasons why I love him so dearly. He is soooo pure in every other way!
OH Mme Benaut, how lovely to hear from you. Yes, i also love the Rodrigo Concerto d'Arranguez...I expect it will do well in the Classic 100.
Uh...that bird seems to be missing a few of her top feathers.
hmmm --someone needs to tell her that skin cancer is in her future....
Thank you for sending me a postcard from my former country! Why did I leave???
She wouldn't be dressed like that here at the moment ... it's 0 C outside as I write!
Mme Benaut ... snow pictures will be coming soon! And there will be plenty!
I love this grass so green, so pure. And I love to see the world from the grass side. So much ;-)
I love her bathing suit!
;)
