Dalaï Lama, nous vous félicitons.
The United States is the latest country after Germany and Australia to incur the wrath of Beijing over visits this year by the Dalai Lama. China slammed the United States for awarding the 14th and current Dalai Lama one of its highest honors, the Congressional Gold Medal on October 17, 2007.

This is a WONDERFUL photo; where did you snap this? I love it.
I love it too. Really beautiful shot.
Well done posting this. And such a great photograph too.
Personally, I like the Dalai Lama. China should just shut up and stop inflating our cheese prices. ( I heard on the news tonight that we're paying more for cheese because the chinese have just discovered dairy products.)
Yep, I'm in a random facts mood tonight.
Et longue vie au Tibet, opprimé par la Chine....
I tried to reply earlier today with no luck (everyone in PNG must have been on the internet)
Bouquets to USA for standing up and acknowledging this amazing man and ignoring the intimidation.
Wow this is an amazing shot! Just gorgeous.
This is a great picture....
Fuck China and anyone else who doesn't like the Dalai Lama! I'm not really Tibetan...I just think he's a cute old man.
Dear friends, this is what the whole world should remember about Tibet.
On 7 October 1950, forty thousand troops of the Peoples Liberation Army attacked Eastern Tibet and has since claimed the lives of more than 1.2 million Tibetans. Thus, it is clear that China’s role in Tibet is quite significant; it has led to a dismantling of ethnic Tibet, destroyed the Tibetans’ religion, and has been a disgrace to human rights across the globe.
Terroni, you have put it in a nutshell !
Thank you all for your concerned replies.
