Warming up - down under

Looks nice enough to swim! Are there rip currents there? We've had a lot of wind along the east coast of Florida and the rip currents have created lots of problems...numerous near drownings and one actual drowning...

Howdy Jacob,

You won't find cleaner or safer beaches anywhere.
No rips here, in Gulf St. Vincent, but on the south coast where there is great surf, that's where rips can be identified.
However we have sharks and we lose someone every ten years or so. (Like getting hit by a bus except you don't see it coming !!)

Today the water may be 22° or so but soon it will be about 26° close in to shore.

I had better show some more beach shots soon.
This one was taken during the visit of Karen from Fort Lauderdale recently.

Wonderful beach photo! Makes me want to go on a vacation somewhere warm and sunny!

You have 10,000 lakes Leif, but our water beckons one to come in and float.
It doesn't snow in Adelaide.

Our climate is probably much like San Diego.
Stay warm, - I know how cold it can get in Minneapolis.
