They had to do it; it was a 'must' - to take a photo of the English telephone box. Of course - who wouldn't? It's an icon! Very proud of it we are too in jolly old Britain. Where Monsieur took this exactly in England recently, I do not know, he will have to appear in the comments box to enlighten us all. As far as I know, the Benauts are still at the link on yesterday's post, if you want to catch the latest part of their tour.

Oh yes I know this image well. Is it a vanadlised one though? Now that is a real British Red Box. Apologises to the Benauts for the weather.

A rarity these days, Lynn. So much nicer than the awful modern ones.

Merci Monsieur.

Ah, the iconic English telephone box! I just saw one of those around here the other day and now I can't remember where... Oh wait. Now I remember: at the British Pantry in Aldie, Virginia--A quaint little shop that sells British foodstuffs to expats and Anglophiles.

So the benauts are slowly on their way. I'm planning to see them in Avignon on September 9th, but I'm afraid that I'm nowhere near as organized as my fellow bloggers - I haven't planned for a meeting with Madame le Maire nor with the Pope (OK, this one's long gone) - no official visits, no bodyguards, no street parade with Aussie flags... damned, I'm bloody useless!

Lynn
On my post of today click on GUY and you will see Mme et Mr Benaut, and tomorrow too at home before their leaving.

Merci, Claude et pardonnez-moi!

Nathalie, they will just love to see you. Their visit here was quiet too, since my car broke down! They are equally interested in good conversation as sight-seeing so I wouldn't worry!

Most interesting post. I think I have since seen the couple on a few blogs.

Bonjour,

http://www.oiseaux.net/oiseaux/oceanie.html

Bonne continuation!

I saw the Benauts and we had a wonderful time together. They did not stay long enough in Montpellier though. I have posted a few photos on my blog.
